We want to let you know about a show that will heat you up, happening this Thursday night, at the Soho Bar & Grill (formerly the Victoria Tavern). Sheesham, Lotus & Son have been described as “The Mississippi Sheiks meet Dr. Seuss, as curated by H.G. Wells.” That’s about the best way we can think of to describe them. Their music uses tuba, fiddle, banjo and homemade amplification devices like the Contrabass Harmoni-phonium. Their show is fun, dynamic and involves many hi-jinx and quite a few antics.
Amanda Lynn
is opening the night at 7:30pm with a short set. Tickets cost $10 – email Amanda Lynn for yours at sweetappalachia@gmail.com, or get them at the door while they last. More information about the show here, and information about Sheesham, Lotus & Son here.
