Hey there music lovers! Welcome to The Heartaches’ internet honkytonk. We’re glad you’re here. We are believers in building musical community, and want everyone who comes to see us to feel the warm welcome that we have for them.
The band revels in high energy dance tunes, and songs of lament, cheating and drinking. Our repertoire includes gems of early recording history, traditional fiddle tunes and original songs written in the tradition of stringband music. Ultimately, The Heartaches believe that early country music is a form of people’s poetry.
For almost 3 years, we played the last Friday of each month at London’s venerable St. Regis Tavern, as a 4-piece band featuring the great James Cummins on mandolin, Uncle Dan Henshall on bass, and couple Martin Horak and Amanda Lynn Stubley on fiddle and guitar.
Before COVID we took a break from that busy schedule, and at this point, we don’t see ourselves returning it. We keep our facebook page updated with photos and our news. We also play private events, weddings, divorce parties, you name it! If you’d like to hear more, just drop us a line at info@the heartachesmusic.com and we can talk.
Thanks for dropping by. We hope we’ll see you down the trail.
